Grapevine app for iPhone and iPad
Grapevine is a live messaging tool that makes it easy to share what matters...where and when it matters.
Most social apps just want you to follow people. Grapevine lets you follow and post place-based news, so you can always see what’s going on in the areas you care about most-- whether it’s around the block or around the world. And Grapevine protects your privacy while keeping you in constant contact with the places that are most important to you:
- Where you live
- Where your kids go to school
- Where you work and play
- Where you are and where you’re going
- Wherever you want, anywhere around the globe
With Grapevine, you use messaging, conversations and mapping to connect with others in the locations you choose. Grapevine makes it easy to:
- Set up neighborhood watch
- Report lost and found pets, property
- Share events (yard sales, parades, block parties, town meetings)
- Post traffic, accident and detour news
- Share awareness - instantly
The possibilities are endless.

Terrible app
Cant get it to do anything and shows my location wrong. Cant figure out how to delete my account.
Great app. Very useful.
Grapevine is a great app for staying on top of whats going on with either my neighborhood or my surrounding. It is particularly useful with traffic, criminal activity or searching for missing pet. Its like a miniature Amber alert for the neighborhood. The more people have it, the more effective this app can be. Get it.
Awesome!
I REALLY hope this catches on.
Fantasic App!
Great application for communicating with those who are close by without having to set up an email exchange. Also very useful for quickly understanding what is happening in any particular area - garage sales, crime events, informal sporting events or get togethers, sales, good places to eat, things to do etc... Could be revolutionary.
great idea!
What a cool way to have a neighborhood conversation about whatever is relevant in your locale. Of course, it needs critical mass to be useful and relevant. Heres hoping that it catches on and lots of people get on the Grapevine. One quibble: Once a thread has been started at a location on the map, I would prefer that all ensuing back & forth comments remain at that original location by default. Right now, it requires you to place every single comment on the map, which has the effect of visually splattering comments all over the map.
